Small circular route Emmersdorf (No. 15)

Our approx. 11.5 km long hike takes us from Emmersdorf, with its old townhouses (partly from the Renaissance) and the late Gothic parish church of St. Nicholas, over the "Rote Kreuz" to the small villages of Hain and St. Georgen. Untouched oak, hornbeam, pine, and spruce forests alternate with meadows and fields and bring us to the hamlet of Pömling and the inn "Bauer und Wirt Langthaler." It continues to the quiet and charmingly nestled hamlet of Mödelsdorf (bell tower) and back to Emmersdorf. Again and again, we are surprised by wonderful views of the world-famous Melk Abbey, the Danube, Schönbühel Castle, and Emmersdorf with Rothenhof Castle. Over the parish church and the Kolomanistiege, we return to the market street of Emmersdorf.
