The Panorama Trail Rossatz leads you along a high trail past vineyards, orchards, and stone terraces. This panorama trail is also very appealing in the cooler season. Wonderful views of the free-flowing Danube, over Rossatz-Arnsdorf, the town of Dürnstein with its distinctive ruins and abbey, as well as Weißenkirchen invite you to enjoy the Wachau landscape. On the way back, you can still hike through the Rührsdorfer Au and to the Danube.

Embraced by the Danube and surrounded by vineyards and apricot orchards lies the market town of Rossatz-Arnsdorf in one of the most beautiful landscapes in the world – the UNESCO World Heritage Wachau. Rossatz is the largest apricot community in Austria and in the Wachau apricot growing region. During the apricot blossom in spring, Rossatz transforms into one single blooming garden. The Romans settled in Rossatz-Arnsdorf and brought viticulture to the Danube. Unique ruins of Roman watchtowers and walls of the former border wall Limes are still preserved. The stone terraces around Rossatz partly date back to the 12th century and the town has managed to preserve its medieval village appearance – the historic vintner and harvest courtyards of the monasteries testify to the tradition of viticulture. The Rossatz wine taverns and direct sale businesses fulfill your individual wine wishes and spoil you gastronomically.
