At the summit, we experience the landscape around Hundsheimer Berg in all its facets. The fantastic view at the summit invites you to linger. After the break, there is the option to shorten the circular route by hiking down through the Hundsheim Gorge. The round continues past the paths to Hainburg and Bad Deutsch-Altenburg and meets at the foot of the mountain the detour through the gorge. In front of the Günther Cave, an information board recalls the discovery site of a woolly rhinoceros, which entered scientific history as the Hundsheimer rhinoceros. The find can be admired in the Natural History Museum in Vienna.Shortly after the cave, we reach the starting point of the circular hike and still enjoy a little peace at the small rest area.
