Baroque parish church in Stetteldorf

The baroque parish church of Stetteldorf, dedicated to St. John the Baptist, is one of the most magnificent baroque buildings in the region and is one of the two landmarks of Stetteldorf am Wagram. Its impressive architecture and rich interior bear witness to the masterful hand of the Baroque painter Johann Georg Schmidt, who created some of the valuable paintings in the church.

The current Baroque style of the parish church is thanks to Johann Jakob Castelli, who supervised the renovation work in 1716 and 1726. This historic site combines art, culture and history in a unique way and offers visitors an unforgettable experience.
