Vast plains and colourful backdrops characterise the region of Tullner Donauraum-Wagram. A fresh breeze blows throw the immense fields at almost all times, nudging the cyclists gently and surely towards the east.

There are several friendly little towns for making enjoyable stops: as one approaches from the west, we have Traismauer, Tulln, Stockerau and Korneuburg: it is not very far from here to the capital city of Vienna.

Enjoyable stops can also be made at a host of extraordinary museums, from the Egon Schiele Museum in Tulln to the Essl Collection in Klosterneuburg. The colourful theatres stage plays, operas, concerts and cabarets almost throughout the year, and the spectrum ranges from the classical to the avant garde.

Numerous farm houses surprise and convince the guest with delightful cuisine and a warm, informal atmosphere. As with all regions around the Danube, here, too, excellent wines are grown, in the vineyard belt of Wagram, on the picturesque terraces loess terraces on the northern banks of the Danube.
